What is a DPF?

A Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is a filter that removes soot from the exhaust of a diesel engine. This soot would otherwise be released into the atmosphere. DPFs can be found on any vehicle or piece of machinery that uses diesel fuel: tractors, semi-trucks, cars, trucks, front loaders, backhoes and a variety of other types of machinery.

Why does my DPF need to be cleaned?

Without cleaning a DPF, your vehicle won't be running as smoothly or efficiently as it could with a clean filter. Not cleaning your filter can lead to much more costly repairs in the future.

What will happen if I don't have my DPF cleaned?

If you fail to get your DPF cleaned in a timely manner, you could be costing yourself in the future. If you ignore the warning light on your dash letting you know it's time for your DPF to be serviced, a replacement of the filter is a much more costly repair than a cleaning would be. At Texas DPF & Services, we recommend you get your DPF serviced as soon as your warning light comes on. However, if you are too late for a cleaning, we offer aftermarket replacement filters for your convenience.

What is the RECORE™ process and how does it differ from traditional DPF replacement?

The RECORE™ process is a patented technology where we remove the old core of your DPF, DOC, SCR, or CNG and replace it with a new, quality standard core while preserving your original shell. Unlike traditional replacement that requires purchasing an entirely new unit, RECORE™ provides like-new performance at a fraction of the cost by only replacing the internal components that have deteriorated. This innovative approach guarantees a perfect fit since we use your existing housing, eliminates compatibility issues, and comes with a comprehensive 3-year warranty that exceeds industry standards.

What types of emission components can be serviced with RECORE™ technology?

RECORE™ technology can be applied to virtually all diesel emission control components including Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF), Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOC), Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems, and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) components. The process works for both on-road and off-road applications across most major truck and equipment manufacturers. Our technicians can evaluate your specific emission components to confirm compatibility with the RECORE™ process.

What are the cost savings with RECORE™ compared to traditional replacement?

The RECORE™ process typically delivers cost savings of 50-70% compared to purchasing complete new emission components. For fleet operators and owner-operators, this represents significant maintenance savings while still providing like-new performance and full regulatory compliance. Additionally, the enhanced performance of RECORE™ components often improves fuel efficiency and extends service intervals between cleanings, creating ongoing operational savings beyond the initial replacement cost.

What Bedrock Truck Bed models do you offer and what are the differences?

Texas DPF & Services offers the complete line of USA-made Bedrock Truck Beds, including: Diamond Series (non-skirted flatbeds with diamond plate design), Granite Series (skirted flatbeds with integrated toolboxes), Marble Series (utility beds with high-intensity LED work lights), Limestone Series (heavy-duty platform beds for dual-wheel trucks), Slate Series (smooth-sided flatbeds with integrated stake pockets), and the innovative QUAD models. These beds are available in multiple lengths to fit most truck makes and models. The key differences are in the skirting, toolbox configurations, surface materials, and specialized features designed for different work applications.

What makes Bedrock Truck Beds superior to other aftermarket flatbeds?

Bedrock Truck Beds stand out from competitors due to their premium American manufacturing, innovative patented features, exceptional durability, and faster delivery times. Each bed is shot-blasted to raw metal before receiving a commercial-grade powder coat, features a patented adjustable headache rack that fits most cab configurations, and includes heavy-duty hitches rated for up to 30,000 pounds. Bedrock beds typically arrive in one-third the time of competitors and come with a comprehensive 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty that demonstrates their confidence in product quality and longevity.

What is involved in the Bedrock Truck Bed installation process?

The Bedrock Truck Bed installation process at Texas DPF & Services begins with removal of your existing truck bed and preparation of the frame. Our certified technicians then carefully mount the new Bedrock bed using the pre-assembled installation kit, connect the integrated wiring harness with plug-and-play adapters to your vehicle's electrical system, and install any additional accessories you've selected. The entire process typically takes one full service day, and we perform comprehensive testing of all electrical components and mechanical functions before returning your vehicle. Our installation includes proper torquing of all mounting hardware and application of corrosion protection to ensure long-term durability.

Can I add accessories to my Bedrock Truck Bed after installation?

Yes, most Bedrock accessories can be added after your initial installation. Available accessories include mud flaps, side rails, camera mounting kits, spare tire kits, additional lighting, toolboxes, and specialized equipment mounts. The exception is certain bed-specific options that must be specified at the time of ordering the bed itself. Texas DPF & Services can help you select and install these accessories at any time to enhance the functionality of your Bedrock Truck Bed as your work requirements evolve.
